To be eligible for the student rate you must be a financial member of the Society. If you are not a member, but a student, the Non member registration rate will apply. The application for joining the Society is here. The student subscription fee is $35.

All first authors of presentations who register as students are eligible for student awards, as long as they are predominantly responsible for content and presentation. Each award for best (and runner up) oral and poster presentation will consist of a cash prize.
Student Travel Grants
All student members who are presenting at the conference are entitled to apply for a Student Travel Grant. Applications are now closed. Successful applicants will be informed by 31 October. These grants, provided by the Geoscience Society of New Zealand to its student members, will be distributed in cash upon registration.
