The Geoscience Society of New Zealand will hold its annual conference this year in Napier from 27th to 30th November. The conference is hosted this year by GNS Science, with support from NIWA and Victoria University of Wellington. The conference will be held at the Napier Convention Centre, beginning with an icebreaker on the evening of Tuesday 27th, with the science sessions concluding on the afternoon of Friday 30th.
The Geosciences 2018 conference provides an opportunity to showcase your excellent research being undertaken in a broad range of geological and geophysics in New Zealand.
Science sessions (posters and oral presentations) will be held Tuesday through Friday. A wide range of pre- and post- conference field trips will be offered, taking advantage of the varied geology in the Hawkes Bay and wider region. Several social events and meetings will be held through the conference. We encourage you to check back here regularly for updates on all these events.
