The Geoscience Society of New Zealand annual conference will be held in the Napier 27 - 30th November 2018. The conference is hosted this year by GNS Science, with support from NIWA and Victoria University of Wellington.
We have had fantastic interest in the 2018 Geosciences Conference, and our venue has reached capacity. At this stage no further registrations can be accepted.
The conference begins with an icebreaker on the evening of Tuesday 27th. Science sessions run Wednesday 28th - Friday 30th.
• A wide range of pre- and post- conference field trips are offered, taking advantage of the varied geology in the Hawkes Bay and wider region.
• Social events include icebreaker function on evening of Tuesday 27th and the conference dinner at the beachfront Venue on Thursday 29th. Lunches and breaks are catered lunches, and a coffee cart is on site.
• A plenary speaker series has been assembled of leading experts showcasing latest developments in New Zealand Earth Sciences.
• Special interest group meetings will be held throughout the conference, along with two pre-conference workshops.
We look forward to seeing you in Napier in November!
